With looping having become an important part of guitar playing, many muso's put a soundhole pickup in with a separate output to run to a distorted amp so they can loop the acoustic sound and solo over the top with an electric sound. These sound hole pickups are not made for a good distorted sound and are in the wrong place for a really good solo distorted sound. Cole Clark put a Humbucking pickup in the correct place along with the Cole Clark 3 Way pickup system.They've also used separate outputs for each system. As well as being able to play an uncompromising plugged in acoustic sound, and an uncompromising electric sound, you can combine the two. The 1 Series comes with an Alnico humbuker as well as a gig bag.
