Lowden O-20 Spruce/Mahogany

The Original Series was the very first Lowden range from 1976, just as the ‘O’ model is George’s original Lowden body design. Although the medium sized ‘F’, concert sized ‘S’ and the small bodied WL have been added to the range since then, the Lowden standard of passionate commitment to no compromise was well and truly set.

From George Lowden “While mahogany and spruce has always been a “classic” wood combination for flat top acoustic guitars for years, I focused more on mahogany and cedar (eg the 10 and 22) during my early years. However, the Sitka spruce does give extra clarity and string definition which can be advantageous when flat picking or fingerpicking.”
