1981 Inventions LVL Full Range Overdrive Pedal
🦄This one’s a unicorn! It’s built in tiny runs, so we can’t predict availability or hold pre-orders. Want first dibs? Hit “Notify me when back in stock” and we’ll ping you the moment it returns.
The 1981 Inventions LVL is a premium soft-clipping overdrive designed for both guitar and bass. As the second official release from 1981 Inventions, LVL introduces a brand-new circuit that blends light clipping with an op-amp push, creating a unique gain structure that sets it apart from traditional overdrives.
Tailored as a professional low-gain device, the LVL delivers touch-sensitive response, smooth grit, and harmonically rich dynamics that excel in both clean boosts and light overdrive stages. Its wide frequency range makes it equally at home on bass, offering clarity and punch without sacrificing low-end presence.
Developed through a four-year design process in collaboration with John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments, the LVL represents the overdrive pedal Matt from 1981 always wanted to create—a refined, musical, and versatile drive for discerning players.
