The La Bella Super Polished Bass Strings combine the punch and definition of stainless steel round wounds with an exceptionally smooth feel that sits closer to traditional flat wounds.

La Bella begins with stainless steel round-wound strings built around flexible Olinto hex cores, then uses factory-designed polishing equipment to smooth down the ridges normally associated with round-wound strings. The result is a distinctive feel that goes beyond conventional half-round or ground-wound designs.

Tonally, Super Polished strings sit between flats and rounds, retaining the punch of stainless steel while providing a smooth, buttery playing surface. This standard-tension four-string set uses .047–.107 gauges and is made in the USA with American wire.

Installation Notes

Only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post. When installing through the body, confirm that the 37-inch wound length is sufficient for the instrument. La Bella advises against tugging or pulling on the strings to break them in, as this may cause breakage.
