The Collings D1 is a premium dreadnought acoustic guitar that delivers exceptional clarity, power, and balance, redefining what a mahogany-bodied dreadnought can achieve. Built with a select Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it produces a strong fundamental tone with clear mids, crisp highs, and controlled low end—ideal for both vocal accompaniment and flatpicking. Pre-war scalloped bracing enhances resonance and responsiveness, while the high gloss nitrocellulose finish allows the instrument to mature and open up over time.

The mahogany neck features a comfortable Modified V profile, paired with an ebony fingerboard and a 14"–26" compound radius for smooth playability across the neck. Premium components including Waverly tuners, ebony bridge, and traditional appointments complete this refined, professional-grade instrument.
