The Collings I-30 LC is a refined take on the classic double cutaway fully-hollow P90 guitar, built to deliver something genuinely new for modern players. Exceptionally lightweight, acoustically alive, and incredibly responsive, the I-30 LC blends the resonance and dynamic feel of an acoustic instrument with the focus and feedback resistance needed for real-world electric performance.

At the heart of the design is Collings’ parallel trestle brace construction, developed through extensive R&D and informed by the highly regarded I-35 and Statesman LC series. This bracing directly couples the neck and tail block, creating outstanding structural strength and impressive acoustic energy transfer. The result is a fully hollowbody that feels vibrant in your hands, with resonance that travels through the top and back in a way that’s both tactile and musical.

Custom laminated and voiced maple plates give the I-30 LC an acoustic guitar-like response while remaining controlled enough for jazz, blues, rock ’n’ roll, and beyond. Matched perfectly to the guitar’s acoustic personality, the Lollar Dog Ear P90s deliver a wide tonal palette — from rich jazzy warmth to sparkling 1960s British Invasion chime. Finished off with a custom Collings trapeze tailpiece for relaxed string feel and effortless playability, the I-30 LC is a bold step forward in the Collings electric lineup.
