The Supercool Pedals 800 Preamp / Distortion is a high-output, amp-inspired drive pedal built around classic 741 op amp circuitry and modern preamp filtering. Designed to deliver powerful, mix-cutting tones, it offers everything from warm, boosted edge-of-breakup sounds to aggressive, grunge-era distortion and fuzz-adjacent saturation.

Its preamp section shapes the signal before clipping, delivering full mids, deep low end, and clear, glassy highs—giving it a strong, amp-like foundation. The gain stage then pushes into selectable clipping modes, allowing you to tailor the feel and response to suit your rig.

Silicon clipping provides tight, chunky distortion with a raw, early-’90s character, while LED clipping offers higher headroom, smoother response, and a more tube-like overdrive. With extremely high output, the 800 can also function as an always-on tone enhancer or a powerful solo boost.

An internal DIP switch (v2) allows you to engage or bypass an output treble filter, giving further control over top-end response—especially useful when shaping tones in different rigs.
