The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi 2 is a newly unearthed fuzz circuit born from the original minds behind the legendary Big Muff—Mike Matthews and Bob Myer. Rediscovered decades later by Josh Scott (JHS Pedals) and Daniel Danger in Bob’s original hand-drawn schematics, the BMP2 resurrects a forgotten dual op-amp design from the late ’70s and delivers a fresh twist on classic Muff tones.

The Big Muff Pi 2 offers singing sustain, thick fuzz saturation, and a unique sonic profile with a crisp top end, booming lows, and raw, less refined clipping. It remains true to the Big Muff legacy but brings its own more dynamic, slightly fuzzier voice to the table—perfect for players seeking a new flavor in the Muff family.

In a first for any Big Muff, the BMP2 features silent true bypass switching with latching or momentary modes—tap it for traditional use, or hold for bursts of fuzz chaos. Housed in a compact nano chassis with artwork by Daniel Danger, this is both a piece of history and a bold new fuzz tool for any pedalboard.
