Directly inspired by the 2023 EHX x JHS collaboration, the Lizard King takes the gnarly, responsive octave fuzz circuit of the Lizard Queen and optimises it for bass and beyond. With updated tone shaping and a new Blend control, you can preserve your instrument’s fundamental low-end while sculpting the fuzz’s top-end to either sit neatly in the mix or dominate it.

The Lizard King is a fixed-gain octave fuzz with a wide dynamic range that reacts strongly to your instrument’s volume. Roll back your volume for a clearer, fuzzy overdrive texture, then push it full for ripping riffs and searing lead tones. Familiar VOLUME and OCTAVE knobs handle overall output and octave level, while the BLEND knob lets you dial from 100% clean to 100% fuzz—perfect for keeping attack and low-end intact. The TONE knob acts as a low-pass filter to smooth high frequencies, and the SUN/SHADOW toggle fine-tunes both fuzz and clean character: SUN adds a more driving midrange to the octave fuzz and gives the clean blend tone extra treble and bass, while SHADOW keeps the clean tone unchanged and tightens the fuzz.
