Built around a carefully matched JFET circuit, the Barbershop is designed to enhance the natural voice of your guitar and amplifier rather than overwhelm it, offering everything from subtle clean boost to rich, expressive overdrive.

At the heart of the Barbershop is its distinctive SAG control, which adjusts the voltage supplied to the amplifier stages. Turning the control counterclockwise reduces the voltage, introducing a warmer, softer and more saturated character with a distinctive vintage-style feel. At its fully clockwise setting, the circuit receives full voltage, providing maximum headroom for the cleanest and loudest response.

The Drive control adjusts the gain between the amplifier stages, allowing players to move smoothly from almost-clean tones to rich, harmonically complex overdrive. Combined with the pedal's exceptional touch sensitivity, this makes it possible to find the sweet spot where subtle changes in picking dynamics take your sound from clean and articulate to warm and saturated.

A three-position Tone switch provides additional flexibility through selectable high-frequency cuts. The centre position retains the classic Barbershop voicing with no high cut, while the right position gently smooths the top end. The left position introduces a more pronounced high cut for darker, warmer tones. The Volume control adjusts the pedal's output level independently of the drive character, providing plenty of headroom for boosting your amplifier.
