The CC-50RP builds on the popularity of Gold Tone’s CC-50 openback banjo, long regarded as the perfect starter instrument for thousands of players. With the CC-50RP, you get a full-walled maple resonator and planetary-gear tuners, making it an affordable yet professional-grade first Bluegrass banjo.

Its hard rock maple rim is topped with a rolled brass tone ring, delivering bright, powerful tone. The flangeless resonator design allows you to easily convert it to an openback banjo for clawhammer or folk styles—just remove the resonator and mounting brackets. Deluxe touches like a rosewood fretboard, Terminator tailpiece, and a geared fifth-string peg enhance playability and durability. Professionally set up at the factory, the CC-50RP is ready to play right out of the box. Available as a left-handed model.
