The GFI S10 SM 4-Knee Lever Maple Pedal Steel Guitar is part of GFI’s Student Model range, designed as an accessible entry into pedal steel while remaining capable of professional-level performance. With a single 10-string configuration, three pedals and four knee levers, it provides a comprehensive setup for players learning the instrument or looking for a straightforward, performance-ready pedal steel.

This version features the optional Birdseye Maple appearance, paired with GFI’s durable construction and hardware. The instrument uses a 24" scale, one-piece aluminium changer fingers and a pull-release changer system, along with seven-position bell cranks for its pedal and knee-lever mechanism.

A Steeltronics PH10 pickup handles the electronics, while Ping keys and SIT stainless steel strings complete the playing setup. Stainless steel screws, pull rods and pedal rods are used throughout the mechanism for dependable operation.

The S10 SM also includes a carpet-covered hardshell case and the required tuning tools, making it a practical complete package for players beginning their pedal steel journey.
