The Gibson J-35 Faded 30s in Natural is a vintage-inspired acoustic that captures the spirit of the original 1936 J-35, delivering warm, balanced tone with a classic, understated aesthetic. Designed as a workhorse during the Great Depression, the J-35 remains a favourite for players seeking rich, full-bodied sound and effortless playability.
Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it produces a deep, resonant tone with strong fundamentals and excellent projection. Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing enhances responsiveness, while the satin nitrocellulose finish allows the wood to breathe and age naturally, adding to its vintage character.
The rounded neck profile and 24.75" scale length provide a comfortable, familiar feel, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and 12" radius for smooth playability. Equipped with an LR Baggs VTC pickup system, it’s ready for stage or studio use, offering natural amplified tone with discreet soundhole-mounted controls.
A beautifully simple, vintage-style acoustic with modern reliability, the J-35 Faded 30s is a true player’s instrument.
