The Walrus Audio Canvas Volume Pedal is a modern, highly configurable volume pedal built around a precision position sensor and high-quality analogue VCAs. Its fully analogue signal path delivers smooth volume control without the strings, potentiometers or gears found in traditional mechanical designs.

Canvas Volume can be tailored to different instruments and playing styles with eight selectable taper curves, including Walrus Audio’s custom Canvas taper and models based on several established volume pedal responses. Minimum-on volume, maximum gain and adjustable lag provide further control over how the pedal responds throughout its travel.

Flexible routing supports mono in/mono out with dedicated tuner out, stereo in/stereo out, or mono in/dual mono out, allowing Canvas Volume to integrate into simple guitar rigs, stereo pedalboards and more complex setups.

At toe-down, maximum output can be set from unity gain up to +9dB in 3dB increments, allowing the pedal to provide additional clean gain when required. The Lag function can introduce up to two seconds of delay between treadle movement and volume response, opening up smoother transitions and controlled volume swells.

All configuration controls are discreetly positioned beneath the heel, while a built-in Utility Menu provides calibration, mono mode selection, factory reset and firmware update functions. A rugged steel and aluminium chassis and contactless position sensing provide a durable platform for stage and studio use.
