Fender Custom Shop
Fender 1954 Telecaster® Journeyman Relic Aged Nocaster® Blonde
The Fender Custom Shop 1954 Telecaster® is a stunning tribute to a fascinating transition-era moment in Tele history. Early 1954 marked the final production run of the famous single-ply black phenolic pickguard paired with the classic Nocaster® Blonde body finish, just before Fender moved to the white ABS pickguard to align with the release of the Stratocaster®.
Built with a two-piece select ash body (with an offset seam on the treble side) and a one-piece rift sawn maple neck, this Tele delivers the unmistakable snap, clarity, and twang of the early ‘50s — enhanced with premium Custom Shop refinement. The neck features a chunky ’54-style “U” back-shape and a vintage-inspired compound radius fingerboard (7.25” to 9.5”) for a classic feel with improved playability.
Loaded with a set of Custom Shop hand-wound Loaded ’51 Nocaster® pickups, this guitar delivers authentic vintage Tele tone with extra punch and presence on tap. Finished with vintage-correct appointments and premium hardware, it’s an inspiring instrument for collectors and serious players alike.
