The Phil Jones Bass BG-450 Compact Plus 300W 4x5 Combo Amp is a powerful, compact bass amplifier designed to deliver exceptional tone, clarity and punch in a highly portable format.
Featuring four proprietary 5-inch PJB chrome dome drivers, the BG-450 produces a surprisingly deep and articulate low end with outstanding definition, easily cutting through in live or rehearsal settings. Despite its compact size, it delivers 300 watts through the internal speakers, expanding up to 500 watts when paired with an external cabinet.
At its core is a Class D power amplifier with a high-efficiency switch-mode power supply, combined with a Class A ultra-low noise preamp, providing a wide dynamic range and clean, responsive tone. The versatile preamp includes a variable gain input for both passive and active basses, along with PJB’s renowned 5-band EQ for precise tonal shaping.
Additional features include a blendable effects loop, aux input for backing tracks, line in/out connections, and a balanced DI output with ground lift, making it ideal for stage, studio and practice use. The BG-450 is also globally compatible with 100–240V power, ensuring reliable performance anywhere.
