he Maton Master Built Dreadnought is Maton’s “take on all comers” dread—built to deliver the presence, punch, and authority you expect from this iconic body shape, but with Maton’s own Australian-voiced twist. Rather than copying 1930s classics, Maton chose Australian Red Cedar (Toona ciliata) for the back and sides to capture that magic dreadnought push and projection, paired with an Adirondack spruce top and Adirondack bracing for a bright, fast attack and powerful dynamic response.

A mahogany neck complements the cedar body beautifully, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge keep the feel slick and the look elegantly understated. Finished in natural gloss with tasteful details like a tight herringbone rosette and ebony binding, it’s built to be as serious on stage as it is in the studio. It comes fitted with the Maton AP5 PRO pickup system and Ratio open-back tuners, and includes a premium Maton Deluxe Hiscox hardshell case.
