Gibson The Grabber Bass '74-75 Natural Finish w/Bag - Used
The Gibson Grabber Bass from the mid-1970s is a distinctive vintage instrument, known for its unique sliding pickup design and punchy, versatile tone. Produced between 1973 and the early 1980s, the Grabber stands out as one of Gibson’s most innovative bass designs of the era.
This ’74–’75 example features the classic natural finish and bolt-on construction, delivering a lively, responsive feel with strong attack and sustain. A key highlight is the movable single-coil pickup, which can be physically repositioned along the body to shift between warmer neck tones and brighter bridge tones—effectively offering multiple tonal voices from a single pickup.
Built with a maple body and neck in this period, the Grabber produces a clear, punchy sound with excellent midrange presence.
This used bass is in good condition, with visible wear consistent with age and use. It has been serviced and setup in-store, ensuring it plays well and performs as expected. The frets are in good condition, and the truss rod functions correctly.
A very cool and collectible vintage Gibson bass with a distinctive look, feel and tonal flexibility.
