Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine Black
Product Description
The Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine is a granular and textural reverb pedal designed for creating atmospheric soundscapes, fractured ambience and evolving textures. Drawing on elements of the Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Reverb and Fable Granular Generator, Lüm breaks the incoming signal into tiny grains and surrounds them with different forms of reverb.
Three distinct modes provide different approaches to granular processing. Grain Cloud uses dual taps from a feedback delay line for glitchy granular textures, while Grain Verb embeds those grains within the delay memory of a reverb algorithm for a dense, washed-out sound. Forward / Reverse Verb combines forward and reverse reverb algorithms for rhythmic interaction and movement.
The Stretch Engine globally shifts the sample rate from 0.5x to 2x, interacting with grain size, reverb decay and filter tone. Moment Control adds another expressive dimension, allowing any one of the five knobs to be automated towards a defined target simply by holding the Moment footswitch.
Three onboard presets provide quick access to favourite sounds, with seamless fades between presets for smooth transitions. Trails and Instant Cut bypass options further adapt Lüm for flowing ambient textures or abrupt rhythmic stops.

Modes
- Mode I – Grain Cloud: Dual granular taps read from a feedback delay line. The X control adjusts grain size and the frequency of the glitch-like textures.
- Mode II – Grain Verb: Dual taps read from the delay memory of a reverb algorithm, embedding the grains within a dense reverb texture. The X control adjusts grain size.
- Mode III – Forward / Reverse Verb: Combines forward and reverse reverb algorithms. Stretch changes the speed of their interaction, while X controls reverse reverb decay.
