An exceptionally rare and desirable Collings, this D3 BRA-A #1608 combines the power and clarity of the Collings dreadnought platform with a premium Adirondack spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides.

This used example is in excellent condition and is a particularly special early Collings instrument. It has been professionally inspected, restrung and setup in-store for superb playability and acoustic response.

The Brazilian rosewood delivers remarkable depth, complexity and harmonic richness while retaining the exceptional definition for which Collings dreadnoughts are renowned. Paired with the Adirondack spruce top, the guitar has enormous dynamic range, headroom and projection, responding beautifully to everything from delicate fingerstyle through to powerful flatpicking.

The D3 is Collings' elegant Style 3 dreadnought, with refined appointments including ivoroid binding, abalone rosette, Style 3 chevron backstrip and gold Waverly tuners. Its understated presentation allows the extraordinary timber selection and craftsmanship to take centre stage.

The combination of Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce makes this a significantly rarer proposition than a standard D3 and a highly desirable instrument for both the serious player and Collings collector.

Frets are in excellent condition with minimal wear, and the adjustable truss rod is functioning correctly.
