The Eastman MDC805 was made from the finest, carefully selected tone woods. The solid top was hand carved from select spruce, a popular tone wood that’s found on many high-end instruments. It’s widely known for its bright and sparkling sound. Both the sides and the back of the body are made from solid, highly flamed maple and the neck is maple as well. Two F-holes with a luxury ivoroid binding add even more class to this stylish mandocello, and it has a compensated ebony bridge. The fingerboard and the tailpiece are made from ebony too, and the quality tuners are made by Schaller. A quality hardshell case is included. The Eastman MDC805 is a high-end mandocello with a friendly sound that will appeal to everyone. It’s a great addition to any collection of instruments
