The Electronic Audio Experiments Scattering Stereo Spatial Reverb takes a distinctly unconventional approach to reverb, using a complex network of delay lines to create lively, spatial textures rather than the smooth, diffuse ambience associated with traditional digital reverbs.
At its core, Scattering produces a shifting field of fluttering echoes that move and interact across the stereo image. Its character can range from harsh, metallic and ringing to dark, murky and saturated, giving players an expansive palette for creating everything from subtle spatial enhancement to fractured, experimental ambience.
Four distinct modes explore different permutations inspired by the lost MN3011 bucket brigade device, bringing analogue-influenced character into a sophisticated digital environment. The result blurs the boundary between analogue and digital processing, with sounds that can modulate, saturate and spatialise while retaining an immediate response suited to real-world guitar playing.
