This Original Series Lowden model reflects George Lowden’s long-term vision of creating a lightweight bolt-on neck joint that delivers an exceptionally solid connection without disturbing the natural balance of the instrument. The result is a guitar that retains the unmistakable Lowden voice, while offering enhanced versatility across a wide range of playing styles.

A key part of the design is the 3-piece bolt-on mahogany neck, which slightly reduces neck stiffness to allow greater transfer of natural vibration through the instrument. Combined with the classic pairing of East Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce soundboard, this guitar produces the characteristic Lowden tone with a dynamic response suited to everything from bluegrass to fingerpicking and Celtic strumming.
