The PRS Custom 24 is the guitar that launched PRS Guitars and remains the benchmark by which modern PRS instruments are measured. First introduced at the inaugural Winter NAMM Show in 1985, the Custom 24 has become one of the world's most respected electric guitars, prized for its exceptional craftsmanship, remarkable versatility, and effortless playability.
Built with a carved maple top and mahogany body, the Custom 24 delivers the perfect balance of warmth, clarity, sustain, and articulation. The one-piece mahogany Pattern Thin neck provides fast, comfortable playability across all 24 frets, while the rosewood fingerboard with iconic PRS bird inlays completes its timeless appearance.
Equipped with PRS 85/15 pickups, personally designed by Paul Reed Smith, the Custom 24 produces outstanding clarity with extended lows and sparkling highs, making it equally at home with pristine cleans, dynamic blues, classic rock, and modern high-gain tones. The PRS Gen III Patented Tremolo provides exceptional tuning stability and smooth performance, while the updated PRS Phase III Locking Tuners with lightweight Wing Buttons further enhance resonance and sustain by reducing mass at the headstock.
Finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and supplied with a PRS hardshell case, the Custom 24 continues to define the PRS sound and remains one of the finest professional electric guitars available.
