The Sebastiano Fracasso Dolomia Classical Guitar is a handcrafted Italian instrument inspired by the Dolomites and Piccole Dolomiti mountain ranges of maker Sebastiano Fracasso’s home region. The Dolomia is Fracasso’s personal model, conceived to combine lightweight construction with deep bass response, a sweet and engaging voice, and body resonance centred around E.

The guitar features a remarkable 40-year-old Italian Alpine spruce top paired with Canadian birdseye maple back and sides. Traditional Torres-inspired fan bracing complements the lightweight construction, while the Spanish neck is fitted with an ebony fingerboard.

Premium Italian Alessi tuning machines complete the instrument, while a hand-applied French polish finish allows the natural character of the timbers and craftsmanship to take centre stage.

Sebastiano Fracasso trained at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano, specialising in the construction of traditional plucked instruments. He subsequently worked with Roberto de Miranda in Milan and Ennio Giovanetti in Gropparello, focusing on classical guitar construction and restoration. Today, Fracasso builds from his workshop in Chiampo, Vicenza, Italy.

Handmade in Italy and supplied with a carbon fibre case, the Dolomia represents Fracasso’s individual approach to traditional classical guitar making.
